I have received many comments doubting the veracity of the information. According to Piedmont police Chief Steven Tidwell, this doubt is well founded.
The "repeat customers" in his jurisdiction are not listed, nor are the people listed Piedmont residents, he said.
Therefore, this tool is useless at best.

If you provide an address, it tells you all the convicted felons in the area. I didn't realize the Star has six felons living in close proximity.
